Founded in 2023, Ciani & Hatch Engineering is a woman-owned, woman-led geotechnical engineering practice. We are doers, providing a refreshing take on leadership, responsibility, teamwork, and success. Through exceptional engineering and project delivery, we seek to build lasting partnerships.
Our Practice.
We work on projects ranging from small, on-call design with limited scope and budget to large, multidisciplinary/alternative delivery projects requiring clear communication, detailed documentation, and accelerated schedules. Regardless of project size, CHE delivers quality geotechnical design and practical, cost-effective solutions for our clients.

We have participated in the procurement and delivery of over 20 design-build projects for WSDOT, Sound Transit, and UDOT. We understand the importance of defensible design, clear documentation, and detailed QA/QC procedures.

We have led geotechnical planning, investigation and design of corridor improvement, bridge replacement, pavement rehabilitation, and fish passage projects across Washington and Idaho.

Our team has provided geotechnical design, project management, and alternatives analysis for water and wastewater projects throughout the Puget Sound, including conveyance pipelines, storage reservoirs, and new/upgraded treatment facilities.
